I know, I know, no need to say it. I havent blogged in too long. I keep telling myself I will get better at this, but I never feel like I have anything "interesting" to talk about. I dont have babies, I don't cook magically, and Im flat out busy. I just go to school and work, how "interesting" is that?! IDK, but it's interesting to look back at a later date, and as everyone says, "you're gonna miss this."
Well I'm a few days late, but birthday number 23 has come and gone. How do I feel about 23 you ask? Well I really think its no different than the rest. It's not a milestone birthday, just another year older. I did have a fun birthday weekend though! Started out on Thursday, my actual birthday, with a few morning texts and calls. Went to work, a sweet friend bought me lunch and I enjoyed it while my babies were napping:)
Later, one of my parents brought me a balloon and gift basket full of goodies! Its SO nice when parents go above and beyond to appreciate their child's teachers!
Went to class and later came home to my sweet husband. He had Chinese food and flowers:) Thats all I needed, a nice day! My parents came in this weekend and we celebrated with a birthday dinner and cake.
My birthday dinner of choice: Lasagna! Some of you should have guessed it.... my best friend growing up, her mom could make the best homemade lasagna and perhaps that's why its one of my favorite foods now:)
And my birthday present (thanks to all who contributed): I'm redoing our master bedroom:) Which side will I choose? I have no idea yet, but Im anxiously waiting this project!
It was a super 23rd birthday!
Im a Kansas girl at heart, but this is the crazy, beautiful Oklahoma life God has blessed me with.

Happy Father's Day
I will admit it...have been a terrible blogger lately!
I do have a couple of excuses though.
I have been taking a summer class and my time on the internet lately has been devoted to either research or nothing productive at all.
Anyway, a few important things have happened.
1) My sister finished her LPN work and is now moving on to get her RN. Way to go sis! It's been a lot of sacrifice for her the past year (and a little sleep for me going to her house at 630 am twice a week) but hey, its worth every bit of it in the end. I dont have a picture or I would post it.
2) My husband had a job interview. Thats all I can say about that at this point. It has been very promising thus far but we are waiting for that "final" confirmation and a start date. It would be a HUGE blessing for us.
Well here is the real point of this post.....HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!
To my Dad....I love you!
This is one of my favorite pictures with my daddy. Yes, thats a real tiger! I think I was in 2nd grade in this picture.
And I also like this one alot.
My dad loves my sister and I alot and we love him so much back:) I miss our Saturday lunch dates and the gas fairy coming to my car on a weekly basis. And Dad, you can still run faster than me! Thankfully, I am not too far away and a phone call is wonderful! Love you dad!

Easter at the Campbell house
My family in Kansas celebrated Easter a week early. I went home last weekend and had a big, wonderful family dinner. It was so great seeing almost the whole family in attendance. This rarely happens that everyone can attend! Anyhow, so that left this past weekend to us not doing much at all which is totally fine with me:) We enjoyed a wonderful Easter having lunch with friends and relaxing!
Malachi came to stay the night with us and this is what happened:
He colored eggs and we later watched the Ten Commandments on tv. I was so surprised that he actually wanted to watch it considering that it is kind of an old movie....I guess not a "kid" movie. He did however and I was cleaning up the egg mess, it made my heart happy to hear Mali and Jeremey talk about the movie. Mali was asking about what happened in the bible story and telling what he remembered learning in church about Moses. Just when you think kids aren't really listening, they are!
On a different note, it gave me a flash forward to the great father I know my husband will be someday:)
On a totally different note, Mali always has to take a picture with Taz. The background story: Taz is technically Malachi's dog that my sister bought for his birthday 2 years ago. However, my sister realized she isn't really a pet person and decided she didn't want the dog at her house anymore. So being the wonderful aunt and uncle we are, we adopted Taz. (Excuse the fact that my dog looks terrified, he really isn't!)
That's it for today folks, I better get back to studying!
