MIA Apologies and Freezer Meals

Ah! My last post was Feb. 4th. Im obviously WAY behind!

My Excuse: This past semester of school was crazy! My schedule was 7:00 am (somedays earlier) to 6:00 PM (some nights later) Monday- Friday. From 6-9 every night it was homework. Im not complaining, it was just busy! Glad thats over:) Im slowly adjusting to having a life again (at least for summer). Only ONE more semester to go!

I interned in a 4th grade classroom this past semester. I really enjoyed it. Im so used to working with younger kids that it was an adjustment for sure. Now, its a waiting game to find out next semester's student teaching placement. I've whined and complained that this time would never come, but now that the "end" of school is coming, I suddenly want time to slow down. With that being said, Im taking one of my state licensing tests next week, so be praying I pass :)

NOW: The more fun part of this whole post!

Since school has been out, I've gone back to working and working and working. I am currently running overtime hours so by the time I come home I don't really feel like whipping up a whole meal from scratch. I really like cooking, but I need something simple at this time. So, after some perusing around Pinterest I thought I would give some Crockpot Freezer meals a try. I typically have extra time on Saturdays to prepare, so I am going to give this a try! Im thinking if I like this, I can try it during the semester. We'll see.

You prepare these ahead of time, put them in the freezer, and then when you are ready to use them, turn the Crock pot on and put it in! When you get home from work, you've got a whole meal ready! I only did 2 meals today. Like I said, this is a trial so I just did a little bit. I will probably use one of them this week and one next week. SIDE NOTE: I split the recipe in half since there are only 2 of us eating in this house.

Teriyaki Chicken:
Medium – Large bag of carrots
Red Onion into Large Chunks 2 large cans pineapple (undrained)4 Garlic Cloves 4 Chicken Breasts 1 cup teriyaki sauce
Follow directions above, and split everything into two gallon freezer bags. shake it up, seal, label and put in the freezer. Instructions for Bag: Add 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce to crock pot, Cook on low 8 hours or high 4 hours. Serve over hot rice

Divine Chicken
6 chicken breasts
4 cups baby carrots
4 cups fresh broccoli (chopped)
2 onions
salt/pepper to taste
2 cartons of cream of chicken soup (add 1 each at cook time)
2 cup milk (add 1 each at cook time)

Split everything  into two containers. shake it up, seal, label and put in the freezer. Instructions for Container: Add 1 cream of chicken soup and 1 cup of milk, cook on low 8 hours or high 4 hours

I would love to hear if anyone else has tried this and their experiences!

Sweet Notes and Hymns

Two of my most favorite things: Sweet little notes and hymns.

A couple of weeks ago I had probably one of the roughest weeks I have had in months. I won't go into all of it but by Friday, I was physically and mentally exhausted. It was just one of those weeks for the books! We all have them sometimes!

It was Friday afternoon and I was saying goodbye to the crazy week! I was leaving work and getting into my car ready to just head home and chill for the night. The weekend was going to be hectic also so I was just preparing myself and praying as I walked to my car that I could relax for a minute! I slip into my car and see a sweet note from my husband. He will hate me but this is what it read ( oh and pardon the Pryor taught spelling:))

I wont leave you hanging either, this was the song playing:

My love for hymns goes way back. I really do like new music and its awesome but sometimes I think the words and images captured in some hymns have no match to some songs today. Call me traditional, whatever, but my husband knows me so well and knew exactly what I needed to hear that day. Hymns are really not the way he worships but I love that he supports me! Its so encouraging to have someone looking out for my spiritual being and reminding me that even on the worst of days/weeks, there is someone greater that I should look to and lean on. When my husband has no words to relieve my stress, there is someone greater that does:) Im so thankful!

Laundry Soap!

Pinterest has become my new addiction. I have found SO many things I want to try. So every once in awhile when I have time, I try it!
Here is one:
Homemade Laundry Soap

This makes about 168 loads for 10 bucks!!

You need:
4 bars Fels Naptha soap
1 box Borax
1 box Arm&Hammar Washing Soda
1 container
*All of this stuff can be found at Walmart on the same aisle as the laundry soap!

First: Grate the soap with a cheese grater. This takes some work so feel free to make someone help!

Next: Put the grated soap into your container.
Pour 6 cups of Borax into the container
Pour 6 cups Arm&Hammar into the container

When it is all in the container, SHAKE it UP!

This makes about 168 loads for 10 bucks!

Just some notes: I did this with a friend so we split it in half. We will each have about 85 loads for 5 bucks each! This soap doesn't have a scent but you can either get the scent from fabric softener or there is power scent stuff you can buy to add it in if you really want it. Also, it does not suds as much as a normal laundry soap, but it still does the job!

Family

For some reason or another it it always late at night that I feel like I should write a blog. This particular night, I can't sleep with all of this on my mind. I had to get it out. I don't even know where to begin.

Family:
The most basic definition(s) follows: a group of persons closely related by blood, as parents, children, uncles, aunts, and cousins:  all those persons considered as descendants of a common progenitor.

I have really been struggling with this for a few days. Family is so important to me. These are the people that have your back. These are the people that support you. These are the people that are there FOREVER. Friends really do come and go throughout our lives. Family is CONSTANT. We are blood-related. We can never get away from that no matter how hard we try. This means something to me. I cant get away from it.

Growing up, I remember my extended family being close. We talked, we shared, we cared. As the years have gone on something has changed. I don't really know the change, but I just know that I don't like it. I suppose this is natural and at some point, every family probably experiences it. It's a separation. Time and distance are much to blame. Our busy lives are much to blame. Petty disagreements are much to blame. It's not one single reason. It's not one single person. Over the past few years this has especially bothered me because I see it getting worse with time. I dont have the answer and I dont know how it can change or be made better. We are all so different and   I think the only thing we can do is embrace that and accept it. We are all so unique and that what makes this family so special. Just embracing each other and our different paths would make a world of difference. I hope that you feel the same way. One of my biggest fears as of now, is that it will take some type of tragedy to help this. I REALLY hope not. I REALLY hope that even if it starts with me, that something can swing this separation the other way.

I know that some of my family is reading this and I want them to. That was the intent of this. Not to make anyone mad at all or stir some drama, but just to bring it to the table. Just so someone knows that I want us to be closer. Just so someone knows that we are here to support each other. We may be far away, but we are family and we are never too far away to have contact. Feel free to leave me your thoughts:) I would honestly love to hear them!

A Dog's Life

Taz went to the groomer today. I think he likes this place. He comes home and sleeps the rest of the day. Lazy dog. Next time I will do a before an after shot of going to the groomer and coming back. I always laugh hysterically when he comes home. He looks like a totally different dog. He looks handsomely wimpy. His hair does a lot for him. It really does! Poor thing, it will grow back.

That was fun! Anything else!?
This all happens in a matter of ten minutes of being home!

Oh bummer Im back home. Time for a nap!

23.

I know, I know, no need to say it. I havent blogged in too long. I keep telling myself I will get better at this, but I never feel like I have anything "interesting" to talk about. I dont have babies, I don't cook magically, and Im flat out busy. I just go to school and work, how "interesting" is that?! IDK, but it's interesting to look back at a later date, and as everyone says, "you're gonna miss this."

Well I'm a few days late, but birthday number 23 has come and gone. How do I feel about 23 you ask? Well I really think its no different than the rest. It's not a milestone birthday, just another year older. I did have a fun birthday weekend though! Started out on Thursday, my actual birthday, with a few morning texts and calls. Went to work, a sweet friend bought me lunch and I enjoyed it while my babies were napping:)
Later, one of my parents brought me a balloon and gift basket full of goodies! Its SO nice when parents go above and beyond to appreciate their child's teachers!

Went to class and later came home to my sweet husband. He had Chinese food and flowers:) Thats all I needed, a nice day! My parents came in this weekend and we celebrated with a birthday dinner and cake.

My birthday dinner of choice: Lasagna! Some of you should have guessed it.... my best friend growing up, her mom could make the best homemade lasagna and perhaps that's why its one of my favorite foods now:)

And my birthday present (thanks to all who contributed): I'm redoing our master bedroom:) Which side will I choose? I have no idea yet, but Im anxiously waiting this project!

It was a super 23rd birthday!

CD's from Mom

Since I moved away from home almost 5 years ago, my mom often sends me little things in the mail.
My mom is amazing at finding random songs. Sometimes I will call and say 'hey mom, theres this song that goes like this....what is it?" She usually knows it. I have no idea how. I can never ever remember titles of songs or who sings what.
Anyhow she will often send a cd of random songs that I have either requested or random ones that she has found. I sometimes get tired of listening to the radio so I will pull out a random CD and listen to every song that Mom has picked.
Today I found this song on one of the many cd's she has given me. (Im not a fan of the video but its all I could find)

Somedays the "routine" of life is somewhat boring. Let's face it, it's true! For some reason though, I found myself reflecting on the words of this random song today. It's really a crazy life sometimes, but it's worth it. It's exciting even when it just doesn't seem that way. It's an adventure even when this routine girl would like to just stick to the routine. We don't always know where we are going, but would it be exciting if we always did!? Im not one that embraces change easily, so as I'm writing this I realize how much God has taught me to RELAX in recent days! Its much easier said than done.

I choose to live in each moment, even when I would like to forget it. I will keep changing poopy pants at work everyday, even if I really don't want to.

Its a crazy life, but the happiness outweighs the sad. The good trumps the bad. My Jesus guides me through even the most routine, boring, and not so fun moments of my day. My Jesus makes this life so much more exciting.

Love Story Part 3

I meant to write this yesterday but time flew away. This part of the story speaks for itself. It was an imperfect but incredibly perfect day all at the same time. I don't want to get all sappy on the internet so I wil stop and here are a few pics.

These are a few random shots. The last one, I just like. It gives some flair. It gives fun!

Love Story Part 2

The Engagement:
It was december of the following year. Yes, only one year after we started dating. A few close friends of ours had already gotten engaged and I was convinced it wasn't happening to me anytime soon. I had tried to guess every time he would have proposed but I was wrong every single time. So I just gave up guessing.

I knew he had the ring though. Nosy me found the receipt one day and of course I couldn't help myself to not look at it! I knew he had that thing somewhere! This is crazy but every time He would leave his apt for whatever reason I would search for the thing. Guess what....I NEVER found it! He was such a good ring hider! ( I seriously only found out like a month ago where he actually hid it.)

So Im at work one day and my friend/coworker asks me if I wanted to go shopping that night after work. Sure, why not? So that was our plan. Well for some unknown heavenly God-inspired reason I guess we didn't end up going. I have no idea why really. So instead I had laundry at Jeremey's apt that I needed to get and I needed to study for finals anyway. I was going to get the laundry and just go home.

My friend Heather (who was also the coworker) and I arrive at the apt and the boys are acting so weird. I grab my things and Im about to leave until suddenly Jeremey asks me if I want to walk to the mailbox with him. Ok sure?
'Meanwhile, Heather's fiance is rushing her out the door while I am trying to tell her to grab me some dinner at the store. We are both thinking, Can you guys chill for a sec while we figure out what we want for dinner!? So weird we had no idea.

So as we walk to the mailbox I kind of figure out what is going on. Jeremey is acting so strange. But, we get there and back...and nothing! What a trick!!

We then decide to walk to the park, which was like right next to the apartments. I knew what was going on now. Seriously, it had to be happening! He gets out of the car and something falls out of his pocket, I say umm, what was that? He so cooly says, "oh just my phone." yeah right!

My favorite thing to do at the park is swing. We go to the swings and he pushes me and pushes me and in my head Im expecting to turn around and see him on one knee any moment. Magical right? Well it STILL doesnt happen! Sheesh! We talk about the day and such and start walking back to the car just like nothing at all. (I was secretly disappointed, I really thought I had guessed wrong again!)

As we are walking back, I tend to walk fast so I am ahead of him, I look back and he is sitting right next to the swing I was on, on one knee. Perfect! I kind of walk back to of course smiling from ear to ear, I heard that magical question and I said seriously!? Yes!

And that was that. Heather came back with my dinner. Her fiance knew the whole time obviously. We had some cupcakes to celebrate!

I had chosen a ring that I thought I wanted but this one I had never even looked at. It was perfect.

My roommates at the time were also very excited.

Love Story Part 1

This one might be sappy. Just a warning. Im not a sappy girl but I love this story! Mostly  well only because it is mine.

I must start off by saying that there is reason I am writing all this. Our 2 year wedding anniversary is on Sunday! Whoo! 2 WHOLE years! Its very little compared to some but very long to others. For me, this is been a very fast, crazy two years.

Here is how it all began....
Here I was, a freshman at Hillsdale. I had taken this leap of faith and moved from good ol' Wichita to Moore. I was very convinced that after 2 years at Hillsdale I would pack up and move back home and continue on. I just wanted to go away for a couple of years and go back to settle in Wichita again. This would have worked out perfectly if I never would have watched this cute boy mow outside my window everyday. Creeper, I know. But he was cute, I had a great excuse! He was tan, in shape, and well...cute!

Well at first I really didn't know who this cute boy was but come on, its Hillsdale and it only takes a couple days to learn. Ok so I now know his name and I wonder if he will ever talk to me. Im a freshman and he is a junior. hmm. I wasn't going to be one of those MRS degree girls so I figured I would just be friends with him anyway. I mean, I had plans of going back home. NOT staying in Oklahoma forever. ha! My lucky day came and it was biology class. Why he waited until junior year to take biology Im really not sure but hey, it worked for me.

It was test time. I hadn't really told anyone that I liked him, but Im pretty sure my roommate had figured it out. He came to me one day and said "Hey, you want to study biology tonight?" umm....YES! I so humbly answered "Um maybe I might have plans but I will let you know." Really I was ready to drop everything and "study". But of course, I had to play hard to get. I couldn't let it go that easy. Needless to say, I called about 30 min before it was time and said " yeah I guess I have time tonight so where do you want to meet?" Playing it so cool. Yeah right.

We went out to eat often, we went to movies, we hung out with friends, we went to the park to swing. (Not to make out...seriously! We went to the park because it's one of my favorite places. This will come back later in the story.)

Time went on and I kept up this game of "hard to get" for awhile. At least I thought I was. Nobody else agrees with me. It was about November at this point and I was thinking, seriously!? Why won't he just ask me out?? I knew the answer and it was wise, but I wanted to be dating now. Something about you should be sure you want to date before you actually do. He was planning this way better than me!
So getting ahead of myself one day, I said "ok look here, its been 3 months and you STILL haven't asked me out yet! I dont have time for this so let's be friends." He said "ok, well if that's what you want, but it's not what I want." WHAT? I felt stupid! Im not sure he knew what to do from there. I so graciously went into one of my roommates and spilled it all and she said, "karen, seriously, wait! You are going to scare him off acting like this!" Thanks for that advice friend, you know who you are!
Ok so I did, I just decided we would be friends for awhile and stopped acting like I was falling for this guy every minute. I hid it better. One month later in December, he FINALLY asked me to be his girlfriend...

This was the first picture we ever took together: at Sonic

Happy Father's Day

I will admit it...have been a terrible blogger lately!
I do have a couple of excuses though.
I have been taking a summer class and my time on the internet lately has been devoted to either research or nothing productive at all.

Anyway, a few important things have happened.
1) My sister finished her LPN work and is now moving on to get her RN. Way to go sis! It's been a lot of sacrifice for her the past year (and a little sleep for me going to her house at 630 am twice a week) but hey, its worth every bit of it in the end. I dont have a picture or I would post it.

2) My husband had a job interview. Thats all I can say about that at this point. It has been very promising thus far but we are waiting for that "final" confirmation and a start date. It would be a HUGE blessing for us.

Well here is the real point of this post.....HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!
To my Dad....I love you!
This is one of my favorite pictures with my daddy. Yes, thats a real tiger! I think I was in 2nd grade in this picture.

And I also like this one alot.

My dad loves my sister and I alot and we love him so much back:) I miss our Saturday lunch dates and the gas fairy coming to my car on a weekly basis. And Dad, you can still run faster than me!   Thankfully, I am not too far away and a phone call is wonderful! Love you dad!

Teaching Taz

Pretty much, our dog is like our child. We took him to Jeremey's hometown this past weekend and he provided a great source of entertainment for all. Who needs a kid when you've got a dog!? Jeremey and his brother got the bright idea to teach Taz how to swim. My dog is not a swimmin' dog! The dog book tells us that. He is terrified of water! Anyway, it was funny to watch.

It begins with a lesson from "Daddy"

And Taz is successful! (Im not sure he really knows how to swim or if he was so scared all he could do was move his feet and get out!)

Poor thing, he would jump out and run straight to my father in law to ring his tail out.

Poor Taz, looks like a rat when he is wet.

Education

Husby let me pick out a movie tonight. He usually picks because I honestly don't really care about movies most of the time. In fact, I usually almost always fall asleep. When I do pick out a movie, its either going to be a happy movie or a "teacher" movie. Tonight what do I pick? A documentary. I love to watch documentaries. Boring, I know, but I find them interesting, meaningful, and not a waste of 2 hours of my life like other movies. Anyway tonight it was Waiting for Superman.
This is a documentary basically talking about the plight of the public school system and the option of charter schools. Yes, its a "teacher" documentary. So naturally, I would find this interesting.

My view: Yes, we have so many schools across this nation in danger and failing to meet the standards. There are so many arguments about the standards and testing that I could write all day. However, bottom line, we still have schools that aren't matching up. There are teachers passing the buck and not dealing with issues. I am not a teacher yet so I cant say that I will be perfect, and I know I wont be. However, I hope will do my best. There are hoops to jump through and annoying things that teachers have to do.There are things that teachers wish they didn't have to do. I have seen it in my observations and heard teachers talk about things. The legislation, mandates, tests, etc don't make it a breeze but as a teacher, I feel like there is still a responsibility to make the schools the best they can be and give the students the best learning experience they can have no matter what, working with what you have been given.

None of this changes the fact that I want to be a teacher. I want to feel like I am making a difference. I want to be a teacher that cares. None of this changes the fact that I don't want to be one of "those" teachers. I want to be more than "that".

This is what I am called to do. This is what I will do.

On a different note, watching this only reminded me that I was so incredibly blessed with a solid education. My parents had a choice of where to send me and they made excellent choices. I was able to attend good schools my entire life and went to one of the top high schools in my state. I went into school never doubting that I would graduate. I went into high school never doubting that I would college was in my future and I left high school never doubting I would be prepared for college. I am so thankful.

Its not fair to me that some of these families on this documentary were hoping for a little luck through a lottery to attend a good school. This is America, the country of freedom. I don't understand why every child doesnt have the same access to good education. I don't get it, but that's the way it is.

I just hope that whatever school or place I end up in, that I could make the learning meaningful for the one year that student is in my classroom.

I am meant to be a teacher. I know it.

Cooking Shows

Ok so I have the morning off work and I found myself watching cooking shows on tv. Why? I really don't know but that's what I did. I enjoy watching the chefs make things that in the end look so wonderful but it always leads me to a few questions.

1) Do people really watch these shows and try to make the stuff on their own at home?
* I ask this because I mean its great to watch but they usually make things I would never make at my house. Maybe I am too simple.

2) Do you have some of these ingredients just laying around your kitchen?
*Once again, maybe I am too simple and I do not have some of these crazy ingredients just in my kitchen cabinet.

3) This is off of question 2, but if I don't have these ingredients I obviously would have to buy them but I'm not convinced it would be an affordable meal and I am a cheap shopper!

I love finding new recipes and things to cook but they must be simple and affordable. So if anyone reads this, let me know what your favorite simple and affordable meals are!

Beautiful.

I am reposting this because I simply think it is amazing. Jeremey and I attended the memorial of a 3 month old child this weekend. This family was so good to us during a time that we had no idea what we were doing or where we were heading and although we don't live close anymore or see them often these days, we have great respect for them. Anyway, here is the story written from Sawyer's mother.

These were the words God gave me for me sweet Sawyer Gray the day of his memorial. I need to share them because it was not in vain that his life was short! Please I beg you if there is a question of Gods love for you or His absolute Grace in the moment of need take heart!!! If this broken mother can stand before a crowd and speak these words know that ALL THINGS are possible through Christ!

I want to tell you the story of my Sawyer Gray. When I found out that we were expecting our fourth child I want to be honest and say the news was not greeted with much enthusiasm. Besides the fact that four children is an overwhelming responsibility my last two were born very prematurely. But surprise. God was again blessing us with round 4. I rolled up my sleeves and decided to go to battle for this one. He was not going to suffer for weeks in a hospital like his brothers and my family was not going to endure that pain again. It was a struggle and many of you here today prayed for him and I thank you for that. One week shy of 33 I went into labor. I started praying and praying then listening. I made God a promise that night that if he gave me this baby healthy and ready for this world then I would give him back to Him. Now at the time you understand I thought I would raise a Godly man someone who would do great things for the kingdom of Christ. Or some missionary who never got to come home to me for Christmas. I was willing to bargain for those things. I was willing to sacrifice for those.Sawyer was born on January 8th his brothers second birthday. He was perfect healthy fearfully and wonderfully made. Gods promise fulfilled..... I did not know then that he would want him back so soon. But I do not regret the the promise I made that night! Because he might have only lived on this earth 117 days but God is using him to do great things today and will continue to do so in our family. I will never see Sawyer run and play with his brothers. I will never celebrate the day he accepted Christ like my daughter but Philippians chapter 1:6 says " be confident of this , that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus .".I wanted to end by saying Sawyer Gray Maxwell lived 117 days but His mercy is still new every morning. And His grace will always be sufficient for me. Thank you

BEAUTIFULLY SAID!
Please keep this family in your prayers, I know they greatly appreciate it!

UPDATE!

It has been a little bit since I wrote last! Time gets away so fast. So here are some "big things" that have happened, or the most exciting I guess.

Garage Sales.
I love to garage sale. My mom used to drag me out every Thursday in the summers when I was young and we would go garage selling. I hated it. It was hot. I didn't understand why we couldn't just go to an air-conditioned store for goodness sake! Well...here I am, grown up and garage selling. I bring some water and save some money and hunt for deals. It's fun now. Thanks mom!

Finals.
Here it is, another semester ending. I still have a few to go. They all go faster than the last. Finals haven't really been consuming my life, I'm not too stressed about them. I only have 3 and 2 of those will be easy. I'm starting to see the light at the end of this school tunnel. Long time coming, but I'm getting there and I will finish!

Job.
I have a job, I love my job (most days). However, if we are going to survive a semester of me not working and student teaching, my husband needs to change jobs. So if you would, please pray for that! God knows what we need and He is going to take care of us. I'm not worrying about it but praying about it certainly doesn't hurt:)

I have more to say but it deserves a post of it's own. Read the next post when it comes!

Passing Time.

So at work yesterday I started out feeling not so hot. I figured well the wind is blowing 100 mph so I'm sure it's just my allergies. The day progressed and I started feeling crummier. I was able to leave early and when I got home I found that I had a temp of 102. Oh joy. My husband looked at my throat and said "yep, there's white patches all over." Oh joy. Strep. I've had it more times than I can count in my life. So after a visit to Urgent Care and starting the antibiotic, here I am, sitting at home on my couch.I've had this a million times and I will be better by tomorrow. I'm not complaning though, at least it's a weekend and I have nothing to miss. There is no time better than a weekend to be sick these days. My weeks are cram-packed full and spending the entire weekend at home is amazing sometimes!

While I am sitting on the couch (because walking around makes my head feel like its spinning off), I started a good book. Luckily, I went to the library the other day and found it. IT IS SO GOOD! I love to read and I love to read happy stories. I feel like I have wasted my time if it ends not happy. (That's my view on movies too, by the way.)
If you like to read good stories, read this one! Oh, and it probably helps that its a true story and she is from Oklahoma. It makes it all more real I guess.

Easter at the Campbell house

My family in Kansas celebrated Easter a week early. I went home last weekend and had a big, wonderful family dinner. It was so great seeing almost the whole family in attendance. This rarely happens that everyone can attend! Anyhow, so that left this past weekend to us not doing much at all which is totally fine with me:) We enjoyed a wonderful Easter having lunch with friends and relaxing!
Malachi came to stay the night with us and this is what happened:

The dipper was difficult, so sticking his hands in the dye it was!
waiting!
The finished product!
He colored eggs and we later watched the Ten Commandments on tv. I was so surprised that he actually wanted to watch it considering that it is kind of an old movie....I guess not a "kid" movie. He did however and I was cleaning up the egg mess, it made my heart happy to hear Mali and Jeremey talk about the movie. Mali was asking about what happened in the bible story and telling what he remembered learning in church about Moses. Just when you think kids aren't really listening, they are!
On a different note, it gave me a flash forward to the great father I know my husband will be someday:)

On a totally different note, Mali always has to take a picture with Taz. The background story: Taz is technically Malachi's dog that my sister bought for his birthday 2 years ago. However, my sister realized she isn't really a pet person and decided she didn't want the dog at her house anymore. So being the wonderful aunt and uncle we are, we adopted Taz. (Excuse the fact that my dog looks terrified, he really isn't!)

That's it for today folks, I better get back to studying!
